Well it don't even have to be a 2 door car. The case in point, being is that this car isn't retro compared to a lot of DCX's other things. Think about it, the Durango is a Modernized Power Wagon styled SUV. The Magnum reminds of a modernized 50s station wagon. The Viper is a modernized A/C Cobra. The design of the Ram pick up is based off of earlier designs from the 40s-60s.

Pretty intresting how this car polarizies people. The worst thing that could have happened to this car was for no-one to care, even if you hate it, it makes you have an opinion.

Like i said, these cars are growing on me. Just not the right time for one now. But if we were in the market for a new family car, this or the 300 would be the choice, hands down.

This thread shows what being mopar people are all about, for us it's a passion, not just a hobby.

Very true.:dogpile: I will leave you with a some words though. I think you should go borrow a 300C. Call me soft, let's just say I kind like of the more Mercedes like interior with the woodgrain and quartz clock in the middle upper part of the dash. Make sure it has the moonroof too. Cheers.  :drunk:

At first the creeder really pissed me off, but now I really dont care.
*****ing about it wont change what it is.
If they had named it the RoadRunner or gtx, I would be really pissed off.
But the names already been fcuked with, so what does it matter?

Just in case anyone cares, I'm always looking at cars and go on suday drives with my girlfriend to all the dealerships. Of all cars on the market today, my gf and her friend say the charger is the "hottest" car.   :roflsmiley:

hemi71 you make a valid point however, even the 80s Chargers while FWD were two door cars. Even the Cordoba Chargers were two door cars. The point of the matter being a Charger was never a four door car until now. Even then while its a RWD 4 door V8 Mopar it doesn't have much anything that resembles any gen Charger which is the biggest kicker.

Um... NONE of the Charger gens have really resembled any of the others all that much.  First gen was a fastback Coronet.  2nd gen was entirly it's own car.  3rd gen was a 2 door Coronet.  4th Gen was a Cordoba.  5th gen was the FWD 4 bangers.  None resembled each other, except that the 66-70s had hidden headlights standard, and as an option on the 71-72s.  That's it.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen Chargers were all alike. As mentioned both had hideaway headlights but they also, big long taillights, big  long sweeping rooflines, long hoods, and sleek lines up until the Cordoba Chargers IMO.

Turned the car back in tonite, and got a deal offered to me. Going to talk it over with the wife, i think we could get them down some more. I'd guess we'll keep our intrepid for another year or two, it's been a great car and still has some miles left in it.

the charger R/T is a nice car, when we do buy a new one, it will be either a charger or a 300...wife likes the 300 better because of the dash.
