10-71 for the 604?

Hi. The 'Kilpatrick' built 604 presently has about 600-650hp. I  was just going to work the heads (Indy Legend) and add a 250hp Sportsman NOS fogger to get my 850-900hp, but after speaking to Mechanics and Al from 'The Blower Shop'  http://www.alsblowers.com/theblowershop/index.html it looks like I'm gonna go with a 10-71 Blower instead. Just want to know from all you 'Gurus" what your thoughts are on this setup. Has to be streetable. Do you think I'll be doing the right thing? Car has the chassis built up and running gear for the power, Dana 60 (3.73) from V code '70 Challenger, 6 speed auto (good for 1200hp).

10/71 should be a nice match for a 600" engine

Thanks. I do understand there is more to it than just bolting on, but I just need to know if the route I'm taking makes sense.

Its a 3 speed with 3 OD's.

I like the blower over the NOS.  The blower is not as sensitive to atmospheric or altitude changes as the NOS.  Plus, you won't have to make sure the "bottle is full" all the time.  That big ole 10-71 is ready all the time.  Just my 0.02    :cooldancing:   .....Oldschool

Well looks like there maybe some legal issues with the blower protruding out too far. Thought about the FAST EFI which would lower the whole thing about 4". Don't know what to do now!! Any body know of a ProCharger in a '70-'71 with a Mega Block? Just wondering how it would look and if it would fit, plus all the piping needed etc.

604 Ci   why doesnt it make 800hp normaly aspirated ?    and is the tranny a 727 with a gear venders unit ?

Better tub it and put in a 4 link with big M/T street tires   if you have it and cant use it why have it.

Guessing it was built with forced induction in mind. Probably has low compression and a blower cam in it.....

Edit: Just read the original post and it was built as a nitrous engine
