Another.....is this a good deal!?
« on: January 24, 2006 - 11:17:20 PM »
Hey guys,

Just wondering if this looks like a good deal or not...http://cudaworld.com/adDetail.asp?cat_id=12&sub_id=0&ad_id=1059, I guess it can't be great because it's not sold yet, but what do you guys think its worth? Just wondering because you never know now a days when it comes to prices...how much work do you think it needs to be a driver? Thanks.

Did Cudas come in a 318 version?!  :dunno: I always thought they were 340's and up.

Beginning in '73, our good friend the 'Cuda was bestowed the 318 as standard equipment, BS23Gxxx, where the 340/360 were optional. It was a sign of the times to come....

It looks like it needs a bit of work to restore and there is no pictures of the interior.

With the need of a new floor and a new trunk.. it has probably been sitting outside for a while.

It looks nice on the outside but I don't think it's worth 6500$

:iagree: That '70 Grand Coupe looks nice!  Love the fat tires on the wide slotted rims!

But what's with the dirt/mud in the interior?  Wonder if this car was flooded?

The seller states that the floor boards were done 2 years ago then he states that the car was taken off the road 2 years ago so shouldn't the floors/back seat area look cleaner?  :dunno:

I'd been contemplating something similar on the Challenger ( I really like Super Bees ), but after seeing this, back to the drawing board  :dunno:

That thing has the makings of a "run away from me!" 'Cuda....

Front end looks out of alignment (previous accident?), the mud in the interior, and if you look at the body, you can see all the bondo wrinkles under the paint on the rear panel and fenders/sides.

Ma Mopar didn't do too well on rust prevention, hence there's a lot of projects out there pulled out and prettied up and shown as "big potential" cars. The truth there is there is a whole lotta of bodywork on this one. I've seen worse come back from the dead, but it takes $$$$$$$$$

According to production numbers from www.magnum440.net (I think that was the right link), there were 973 4-speed 318 Cudas in 1972.

Unless I'm totally mistaken (which has happened many, many times), this is loc8tr's car from the link I posted earlier. He was asking what price to put on it down in the cars for sale section.  Don't be too hard on him guys!
