Here's one you might not know of.

http://www.jimsautoparts.com/

This guy has been around for years. Tons of body, frame, motors, parts and more parts. Goto the online cat and then on the tool bar find your way to the Restoration Parts.

Due to numerous complaints here, I don't think they will be added to the list. Great parts, not so great service.

What happened to you guys?

Jim,

Like you, I have made purchases from them a few years back... probably to the tune of a few thousand $$$, at least.  :grinyes: I knew about them before I knew about Year One, if you can believe that. It just seems that recently there have been many upset people that have bought, or tried to buy from them. They might not have something in stock, but they will give you no indication of that. You just wait, and wait. I have heard they don't respond to E-Mails too.

I bought $$$ from Jim's in the late 80's.  Good parts, great price, typical industry service.  Last year, I started rebuilding again and gave Jim's a shot. Rarely answered the phone.  Website was a joke.  Pricing in the catalog I had just gotten was wrong, website listed it at 50% more and calling to confirm found that it was about 50% more than even the website. (Pricing was way off on numerous items) Found the emblems at Year One (usually the highest priced) for about 30% less.  I told Jim's of the descrepancies but they didn't give a rat's A$$, the price was what it was and they acted as if they could care less whether I bought from them again or not.

They had a lot of my business back in the day, but never again. :villagers:

Wow, that blows. I used to live a few hours away from them when I lived in MA. So I drove up there and I too knew about Jim's well before YearOne as well, I just figured I support the local guy. He did seem like he was just in it for the money, too bad, customer service is key to getting people to come back.

YearOne is another that seems like they charge a little more BUT I have never had anyone rude on the phone with me. Guess what, when they didnt have any fenders for a 72-74 barracuda they gave me a number to someone that did. Thats what I call helping a customer out.

I had a headliner on my christmas list & gave Jims as the source. Price was good product ok but they charged over half again for "shipping & handling" $59. part $39.S&H. There is no where on their order form for this charge, they just add it. Numerous attempts to contact them via email with NO reply
