Help!!! with my wheels
« on: January 27, 2006 - 08:40:48 AM »
So what else is new. I'm confused

I thought my car had Magnum wheels from the factory but now I'm not sure.

My broadcast sheet or what remains of it  says  " Wheel cover -24"  Does anybody have a picture of wheels with code 24 covers? Anybody? Is the 24  code the Rallye wheels?

According to a broadcast sheet decoder the 24 is "styled road wheels class 3" What do those look like?

24 is the trim ring.  Road wheels would be listed as 63 under the "ROAD" heading on the BS.

My BS says
Road   Color   Spare   Wheel Cover
63       TX9     16         24

Is that the wheel you pictured?

Again thanks FY1.  You have made my day.
I can't believe  many Challengers were ordered that way.

I've seen lots of Challengers with those wheels. Not as many cudas from what I can recall.

Yah, I put Magnums (road wheels) on my '72 because i wasn't to keen on the big acorn center cap used on the '72-'74 rally wheels but wanted a stock look.  My Rallye originally came with steel wheels and wheel covers.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

The 450 wheels are hard to find. I have had a want ad running for over 7 years wanting to buy one or a set of four. I have not had even one response.

The correct space saver spares come up on Ebay every so often, they usually sell for $1200.00 and higher.

Best of luck,
Barry

Barry, are you talking about my wheels?  What are 450 wheels?  What do they look like?

I have the space saver from my Cuda... so I can use it.
