GM sued Chery, the Chinese company that builds the QQ a while back. Seems that Chery copied some parts for that car... say... 98% of it EXACTLY from a Chevy model. The parts were even interchangeable between the two.

But the biggest question is how long does the rubber band last, and where do you put the big key to wind it up?

 :roflsmiley:  :screwy:

Latest Autoweek claims not a rubber band but rather a hamster may power these cars if they meet Federal emissions testing.  If the hamsters don't last, they plan on using Honda rebuild kits.  See Illustration.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Me, too. But there are gonna be people out here dumb enough to buy one of those "things" instead of a normal car.

I wish someone would give me one... I would sell it in about 5 minutes and use the money to buy a real car, like a '69 Dodge Corornet R/T.

Can't believe some of the posts....... :walkaway:
"Real Cars" seems if it's not big and American it's not a real car.

It's not for the strip people...... ::) It's a city car basically, good on gas, easy to park, cheap.
It's not out to win a Sema prize, not all cars are....open minds is the key.

Re: Real cars... you've got it! Big and American!  ;D

If I needed a car that was good on gas, easy to park and cheap, I'd much rather own a '64-'71 Dodge Dart or Plymouth Valiant Slant Six.  ;)

:iagree:  There's lots of other cars out there for the picking if one doesn't like these cars.  I'm not saying I like them, I have no idea as they have not been tested on our soil yet and the reliability has yet to be seen, but it may open opportunities for some people.

Very true that the influx of these cars may hurt the US economy (may be a small dent) and buying American helps the US economy but for many people who are not well off this may be an opportunity for them to buy a cheap car to get around in that's new.

Rumor has it that a new one of these might sell for about $10K.  It's not everyone's cup of tea but to the right person it might be a blessing, ie people who normally can't afford to buy a car, college kids, etc...

You won't catch me lining up for one either but there are people that definitely will.
Doesn't bother me, good on them if that's the car they want, can afford and suits their needs.

The boy racers run their mouths about big American V8's.."slow and heavy" blah blah blah, it's weak and I myself don't see the need for it, OK amongst friends but lets not stoop to their level - Where MoPar people, remember?

Korean cars didn't do well here. I think Daewoo stopped selling their cars here. could happen to that car also...Let's hope so.
