If done right,I think the new hemi increases the value of your car.I just finished putting a 5.7 in a 70 cuda ragtop,  http://mysite.verizon.net/ls6ron/  and i'm getting ready to do a 6.1 hemi in a hardtop. Its not that bad of a conversion

Great site 57hc and 1 cool Cuda :wow: Got a question, how did the 727 hook up to the late hemi? Adapter plate or other?

Bolts right up to small block bellhousing had to make a flex plate, and use a spacer between block and trans

Was it hard to make, or do you have to be a real master mechanic?

The hemi crank is 8 bolt instead of 6,but its not the same bolt circle as the old 8 hole hemi crank,so had to machine a new flex plate. The crank to block spacing is about .100 taller on the hemi so had to use a spacer between block and trans.the spacer is the factory peice that came with my hemi.someone will certainly produce a flexplate soon, suprised mopar doesn't have one yet

I know that they used a intake on the crate 5.7 Hemi called M1 but its a 440 intake(when i have searched the web for it) is that right, that an preformence 440 intake fit right up on the 5.7 Hemi? Does anyone here know?

Hay:

Pink Panther.

Was your car originaly Pink? Do you get a lot of nuts about it being pink. I love the color it defantly stands out.
I thought about painting my pink but I know everyone at work would give me a hard time. If it was pink when I got it there would be no question it would go back pink.
Do you regret the pink?
What is the paint code for the panther pink?
 :cooldancing:

The code for Panther Pink, or moulin Rouge is FM3.  All you have to do is tell the gys at work that it takes a real man to drive a pink car!!!!

The m1 intake is just mopar performances name for there high performance intakes. There are m1 big block, small block, hemi, etc.intakes called m1's, but no a 440 intake won't fit a new hemi.I've got the part # of the hemi m1,but its not avalible yet,you can only get it on the crate engines right now.I'm sure edelbrock and others will have some good intakes soon.Ron
