    I allways wanted a Hemi(and i dont think i will ever afford one) and now i have come up with crazy idea. A friend of mine have an old restore that he will never finish that i im planning to take over and put a modern 2004 5.7 L Hemi engine from a wrecked car in it, my friend say that im mad and that would be totally f..... up to put such a motor in an old Mopar. But am i, i mean a motor complete with trans, harness and computer for $2000 for that money you dont even get an empty block of an real one. Have anybody here done this? If so how did it turn out?

    I think Mopar Man are in the progress of a conversion to a new 5.7 hemi into a A-body.

    As long as you have the time and patience, I applaud you.  :clapping: I know you will have to do something about the motor mounts, but it will be interesting to hear of your progress. For that price, I understand why you would be tempted. Good luck.  :thumbsup:

    Since its a resto that will be no problem, thanks man. I was planning to build those myself(or my dad whos is an old metalworker of the oldschol) since those cant be bought as far as i know and even if they where they would be pretty expensive i guess. Im really tempted in doing this only thing that is abit nervous is the electrical stuff....

     I understand. That would be something that would scare me too. How do you connect a modern computer up to an old style car??? Yes, the obvious is power and ground,  but you need to have all the wiring for the sensors to go to the computer. Are you sticking with the fuel injection? That might be easiest, but seeing a carb. on a 5.7 Hemi has not been seen as far as I know. You could be the first!!!  :cooldancing:

    I been thinking in throwing the fuelinjection and put carb on it(Im not first on it, have seen crate motors with it) then other things come up since its not like putting a carb and intake on a real Hemi...or is it????  :working:

    I seen where Rod & Machine can makev a stock 318, 340, or 360 and change it into a Hemi head monster.  anyone else read that?

    Hay:

    Pink Panther.

    Was your car originaly Pink? Do you get a lot of **** about it being pink. I love the color it defantly stands out.
    I thought about painting my pink but I know everyone at work would give me a hard time. If it was pink when I got it there would be no question it would go back pink.
    Do you regret the pink?
    What is the paint code for the panther pink?
