oh.....bother....
« on: January 29, 2006 - 09:18:05 PM »
Well I didn't notice it before but when i was looking at the sides of my challenger up inside the inner fenders, the suspension brace that is shaped like a wishbone that goes from the plate on the inner fender to the top of the inner fender lip...is GONE!  Can't exactly order that from yearone, any ideas anyone?

You will have to get one from another car as they are not reproduced. I'm sure one of the members has it though.

Umm, Im unclear about the piece you are talking about. I thought you were talking about the brace on the inner-part of the fender, but it isnt wishboneshape and doesnt connect to the suspension. The only piece that I can think of is the one I posted in this pic.....but I thought the innerfender-to-firewall brace connected to it, so are you missing that piece too???

I have the firewall brace but that circled piece is gone on the drivers side, passenger side still has it.

Very weird, wonder why its not there. I have no idea where you are going to find that piece. I think your best bet is to call all the mopar boneyards advertised in MCG. I would imagine that piece is shared between the cudas and challenger or all years, does anyone know for sure?

Doesnt look like that hard of a peice to build yourself.  i cant see the front of it, but i cant see it being too complex.

The piece is pretty thick and somewhat complex. I doubt he could make anything that resembled the stock piece. If he isnt concerned about looking stock, then it would be pretty easy to fab up a support bracket.

I could probably fab it up...just wouldn't like to take the entire evening it would take to make it and put it in. :working: :faint:
