SRT Track experience
« on: January 31, 2006 - 01:33:44 AM »
Don't know why I didn't bring this up earlier??? :dunno: But I have to say I had a blast..

I was invited to go test drive all the new SRT's including new viper at Sears Point, CA  ( Now Infineon ) race track a couple of weeks ago.  I didn't realize what I'd be doing, but have to tell you, I was really impressed.  We got to take out the magnum, charger, crossfire and the vipers as well as the new jeep cherokee(rocket!!!).

I think I had the best time doing 80-90 MPH  :burnout: around the road course tearing up "their" tires chasing the instructors.

The race instructors were great, it was a class A event.. I encourage all, if the opportunity arrises to go and give it a try.  I don't remember another time when my adrenalin was pumping all day long.  These cars were extremely impressive, fast and well handling, unfortunately we don't get the opportunity to drive like this w/out possible legal issues.

If you do take this class on driving...beware...the instructors ( all x race guys) have what they call "payback", where they take you for a ride around the track a couple of times.

Good stuff, I highly recommend!

When I said invited, it wasn't all that...my neighbor who owns  a SRT truck, invited me...apparently anyone who owns an SRT was invited, and I believe is open to public, but not advertised.

They do travel around the country, go to www.srttrackexperience.com to see were they are heading.

Again, I highly recommend! :ylsuper:
