Vin tag recondition?
« on: February 04, 2006 - 02:52:03 PM »
Whats the best Best way to recondition your vin tag back to factory look with the chrysler logo and all? Does datatags do that too? Having a new one made is illegal right?  I would only be leary about semding my tag out in the mail.  Had some bad runabouts with the postal service losing stuff.  Mine is in good shape, just the paint coming off.  I'm sure I'm not the only one with one like this.

Highspeed,

I am in the same dilemma. There is the silver of the background coming through but I don't want to repaint it and lose that Chyrsler logo. :dunno:

I know what your saying.  I kinda agree with hemi71, but are restored show car vin tags deteriorated looking?  Hers a pic of mine.  I intentionally cut part of it off and made it blurry, but you get the idea.
