Overhead Console Again...
« on: February 06, 2006 - 12:18:29 PM »
I have read the ovehead console posts. I still have a few questions. My overhead console light only turns on when I switch it on, not when the door is ajar. I have looked at the light, and noticed it has the plug connector but, does not have the extra wire(Ground?) coming off of it. Is this the reason why the light will not turn on when the door opens? Thanks in advance.

Haha, that is more than what my console does :grinno: Just wondering if you are talking about the map light or the door ajar light that is part of the console.....

i do not know if that is why yours does not work, but mine works both with the switch and the door and it has the wire. the wire looks to be lavender or light tan with a male connector.
