"Sickfish" on "Rides"
« on: February 08, 2006 - 05:30:11 PM »
Probably most people here had already seen this show since its a couple of years old by now, but last night "Rides" showed the build of Joe Rogans "Sickfish" '70 Cuda.  I had never seen the show, although I had seen pics of the car.  I loved the show, that car turned out awesome.  Did anybody else watch it last night?

Guys and Gals, there is an AWESOME picture book on the build of that car.  It's the 'first volume in a series' called "Build Book:Sick Fish", put out by Team Killeen. (?)  I found it at my local Borders.  It has very detailed coverage of just about everything they did, including all the custom frame rails, suspension, all the tin work, trick A/C plumbing, the works.  A great book to peruse for tricks, tips, and good pics of SICK workmanship.  I don't really love the outcome, aesthetically speaking, but the workmanship and ingenuity that went into it is RI-DONK-U-LOUS!

Yeah I got the build book as well. The only thing I really don't like about the car is that the wheels are a bit too large. Widening the spacing of the front lights under the bumper, lowering the car, adding the rear spoiler as part of the deck lid sheet metal, etc. All that stuff is great.

It's well worth the money IMO. They detail most of the parts they use and where they got them too.

You think that car is nice on TV, you should see it in real life.  I saw it last year at SEMA.

I saw it at SEMA 2004 as well and couldn't stop looking at it. I took several pics of it from all angles.
I have a 70 gran coupe in storage and plan to do something similar but without the extreme modifications.
