Remote Mirror Bezel tool?
« on: February 08, 2006 - 11:56:35 PM »
Anyone know what tool will get the remote mirror adjuster bezel off on an E-Body?  Is 'our' bezel nut the same as everybody else's?  If so, would this tool work?

Or is there an obvious kluge I am missing?  Thanks!   :smokin:

I just carefully use a pair of needle nose pliers

A standard screw driver with one wrap of electrical tape to avoid scratches has alwas worked for me.

yes, thats how I got mine off. The mirror plating was flaking pretty badly though and I will need to replace it. Other than the shape and the backside bevel, is there anything special about the rearview and side view mirris? They seem to be a "tinted low glare" mirror. Is that something the glass company's would be familiar with?
