Holy Cow. what a killer find!! That stuff is worth it's wieght in gold..(almost)
I bet you may have some of the only remaining amount left in the nation.

A recommendation...There may be a company that would want to borrow it
to begin reproduction of the pattern so that it will finally be correct.  :money:

Glad you found the top, hope that roll doesnt empty your pockets :money: Are you going to change the top or just keep the gator grain in case?

Being on the hunt for all the elusive pieces for my 71 I can appreciate your excitement.  I guess pure persistance pays off in the long run.  Congratulations on your find !!

Guys this is great news, so Christmas came a bit late, but hopefully it will be on the Chally by Carlisle, Congratulations. And if there is not enough for another whole top maybe the partial top on Pixie's Duster, or even a gator grain mat for the trunk would be a one of a kind. Sure was a good day when that find was finalized, now, who gets the night watch guard duty?  :roflsmiley:

You could put it on e-pay as original "Hemi Challenger" Gator Grain and sell it for $80K.    :roflsmiley:    :cooldancing:   ...Oldschool

That's a great find! Congratulations! That grain is darn near impossible to find. When I had my 71 Charger RT restored in 2001, I also needed some black gator grain vinyl, and we looked for a long time, too ( Not 6 years, though. Don't think I could have waited that long ). Luckily, my buddy who has a resto shop knew a guy in Chicago who was able to get the gator grain material to us, so we could finish the restoration correctly.  I know exactly how you feel right now - way cool!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
