Hey Alaska, is that article the same for Cuda's? And what exactly is the "Rim Blow Feature"?

Nope, these are for the Challenger, I do not have the 1970 Plymouth book yet.

The Rim Blow wheel has a copper insert around the inside edge as the switch, if you bump the wheel or squeeze it it blows the horn. It takes some getting used to from what I hear....

Wow, you learn something new everyday. So the horn is actually activated by the rim of the wheel and not the center?

My dad had a '69 cougar with a rim blo wheel...everytime I drove it I'd be accidently honking the horn.
IMO...stupid idea! If it wasn't, they'd still be making 'em!

Hmm, are you sure that steering wheel was standard on SEs?? because my SE didnt come with it and I have seen at least one other SE that has the standard wheel. Maybe the dealer subtracted it from the package to save a little money, but I never knew that was a standard feature on SEs...

The S83 rim-blow steering wheel was available on all '70 Barracuda/Gran Coupe/Cuda models as well.

I had a new '70 Challenger SE with rim-blow and believe me, you didn't honk the horn by accident, you had to work at it!  I think Ford's were more sensitive.

We had the standard wheel also on our RT/SE

I have wondered if the wheel partial horn ring wheel could be deleted on an SE, for those of you that have SEs with a broadcast sheet, can you post your S codes from the bottom left of the sheet? I will see if I have any here too......

Thanks,
Barry
