The Tuff wheel was not available until 1971?

Thanks,
Barry

I called my buddy at chrysler and he researched it and said that the tuff wheel was a 1970-1971 only option and the code was S84!!

I agree, S84 is listed in Galen's book as 1970 - 1971 also. That is why I put the "?" after that sentence.

S84 does not show up in any of the 1970 ordering information that I have, and I have not seen it coded on any 1970 E-body broadcast sheet yet. If anyone has any information on it I would love to see it.

Thanks,
Barry

I agree with Barry, the tuff wheel was not available until 1971 and then on A and B body only.  Have never seen one coded on a broadcast sheet.

I do not have a photo of one.

From the photo on page two, left to right;

S81 - std. woodgrain wheel.

S79 - partial horn ring wheel.

S83 - rim blow wheel.

The ones shown / listed are the steering wheels available on Challengers in 1970. Not shown is a 4th wheel, it is identical to the S81 wheel except the outer rim was black instead of woodgrain. The black rim wheel came as part of the A93 Coupe package std, but the other wheels could be ordered.

T/Ake care,
Barry

yes that does help Barry, Thanks. So far I don't think mines missing anything.
So, ONLY the SE have the hood/fender edge trim towards the windshield and the trim around the opening in the front valence?

I have kind of a plain jane car originally had a flat hood and standard dash but it came from the factory with those mouldings on the fender edges and around the hood. I think my 71 was a real special order!!  it also has the se carpet strips on the door panels but no small back window! also has the remote race mirrors!

Different, no, but I would love to see a copy of that whole page, Coupe info is hard to find.

chevyconvert, I am pretty sure it was dedated a bit, but '71 up as far as any proof shows so far.

Mopar or no car, what is your interior code? The moldings were available as a seperate option.

Your fender tag should show the A46 option.  It is the same as the 1970 A63 except the rear panel was not included.

As Barry said '71 up on the A and B body, then later it changed in appearance and was used on the F body and the specialty trucks (Lil red, warlock)

so it wasn't an e-body option then ?

I am thinking the mouldings are coming from the code A46? it also has a code m26  and m31 and m44 also has V5X!!! But you asked interior code and that is H5XX
