    What are the rules for it being classified as production??? and do you mean quickest or fastest??

    They base it on 1/4 mile times, so I guess quickest.

    Well if tuner shops are included then probably Hennessey, Lingenfelter, or Heffner. If its truly a production car that wasnt sent to a performance shop then my guess is either a Viper SRT-10 or Ford GT.

    The cadillacs are lucky to see 12s. The 68 S/S cars were sent to hurst so can they cant really be considered production, if they can then they would loose because the Lingenfelters fall in the same boat and are quicker/faster. I can't think of any other American cars that are "truly" production vehicles and faster than the SRT-10 or Ford GT.
