Licence Plates
« on: February 10, 2006 - 12:15:35 PM »
Whose got a cool licence plate for their car?
When I was in Reno I had 'SQURILY" for squirrelly (I drove it in the snow in winter ) but here in N.Z. you can only have 6 letters so it makes it a lot harder.
So what you guys and girls got?
Cheers Paul :dogpile:

I liked the tags I saw on some Lamborghini that was on "Top Speed" last night.  I forget what exactly it said, but it was some quirky phrase having to do with speed. :bigshades: :burnout: :ylsuper:

i have "EL HEMI" on my 68 (hemi) charger, and "CH*RGER" (the * is a star :jumping: :jumping:) on my 71 charger.  i have "EL CUDA" on order for my next car, which i am still looking for (a 70 cuda convertible i can put a hemi in.)

i used to have "HEMiCUDA" on my 70 hemi cuda (which i never should have sold.) the little i was a piece of tape i put on it. the plate really was "HEM CUDA".

I was going to make a license plate post cause I have a question about the one I want to get.  I looked and found that PINK 6PAK is available in NY but would it be wrong to have that on my plate, as they only called it a 6 pack for Dodge and 6 Barrell for Plymouth?  What do you guys think?

I reckon it would take someone pretty lame to call you on the six pack / six barrel thing, the setup is exactly the same. Just like Moulon Rouge = Panther pink. That would be a cool plate! :ylsuper:

I stuck with the original black and white plate that Lucy has been wearing since 1971.
Down here IMO it shows the car is a true #'s car or an older car that wasn't shipped in last month.

But, I purchased [1970 RT] a year or so ago just in case...... :lol2:

:22yikes: $500 for a personalized plate!  Ouch!  Mine was $25 for the plate fee and then $20 extra per year.  I guess I'll still have  it in 25 years so we'll be even by then. We can reminisce about it in 2031.

the chrysler 265 Hemi badges were both "2 barrel" and "6pack" (depending on what you had.)

I thought that was interesting.

Probibaly because they wernt on a plymouth or a dodge, and 6pack sounds better.
