On a Cuda I would probably go for a Shaker hood but a Challenger, no doubt a Bulge hood is king IMO.

A good repro shaker setup will run around $4200 plus shipping and core charge for a flat hood. I just sold Gene Gregory (the guy that actually makes the hoods) a couple of nice flat challenger hoods last week, so he should have a hood in stock. You can get the whole setup through Sixpack Performance.

http://www.sixpackperformance.net/Shaker.htm

It's the only way to go. I just installed one of the kits on my 71 cuda last summer.

Hey hotrod98..  How much do you get for those flat Hoods??

Hey NZ.. I like the bulge hoods on those better then the shaker too.. I just believe the snorkel hood (T/A) is the best

Gene pays $200 per hood for rust free, nice hoods that have no filler or damage.
He will buy 70-74 flat barracuda hoods and 70-71 flat challenger hoods. The 72-74 challenger hoods won't work for shaker hoods. The 70-71 chal hoods have the emblem at the front edge and the 72-74 hoods have the name at the front edge.

The T/A hood, followed by the bulge.

Shakers look weird on challengers, it just doesnt fit with their lines.

Am I the only guy who dislikes the shaker hood in general? Well, I wouldn't say dislike, but I prefer most other hoods in comparison. My favorite are the AAR & T/A style hoods, followed by the dual scoop hoods.

:iagree:
But if it's a 70 Challenger the T/A hood looks good too.

  Please elaborate dear moderator.  :grinyes:

Seriously, I can't explain it, but I think the look works more on a Cuda. What kind of problems have you had? Fitting?
