Wheel Alignment and pwr steering questions
« on: February 13, 2006 - 02:18:58 PM »
Got a couple of questions, one easy one maybe not so.
First off, could someone give me the wheel alignment figures (camber, toe in etc) for a 70 Challenger?
and secondly: is there a way to make the power steering less sensitive? I know the simple solution is just to take it off and go manual but I like the ease which you can manouver the car around in tight areas with the pwr steering . It's just that at 100 mph that same sensitivity can be a little scary - sneeze and you've changed lanes!
i've come up with a novel way of fixing it but it's pretty complicated and I just wondered if anyone else has tackled this problem (or if anyone else thinks it's a problem!  :lol2:)
 Cheers Paul :nzflag:

adjust the castor to max , this makes the steering heavier & has no effect on tire wear
Camber I like 2* - for hard cornering & 1/28 for normal use
toe in is 1/8 " possible a bit more with 8" + wide front tires

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t
