Ebay should i ? or not ...
« on: February 13, 2006 - 03:25:37 PM »
I'm thinking of listing my 71 cuda on ebay , the problem is there's so many scams that people are turning away from ebay . I had the car on there two weeks ago and it didn't do very well . I have the car listed on the sale section on this borad .  And i feel my price is not out of  reach .
what should i make my reserve ? it's a 383 4spd car details on sale section

It's a nice car 4 sure. I think you said you have the #'s matching 383. I'm surprised you're not getting and 40 something bids. Moparponderosa has one just like yours, but in BLACK (TX9).. listed for 75k..

It really depends on the color, matching drivetrain and documentation

OK,
The color isn't bad. Someone in the for sale section mentioned about putting trim rings on the Rally wheels. A small investment like that might pay dividens.  :money: I would hold at 40K if I were you.

looking at the past 71 sellers I think it's a 40k car. However, the big bucks come in from those who want turnkey driver w/ the correct color and drivetrain. the bad is no org fender tag (no biggie) and the correct engine is on the stand add to that the orange should be on the car. If all these were done.. it's a 50-60k car w/ a newer resto.

Whoerver.. to ebay or not.. absolutely yes. If you want to sell the car.. put in on for 39k buy it now and that's it.. no bidding. The car will sell IMO. There's still lots of value in an orange 383 4-spd.

Good luck. If that car was black.. i bet you'ld get 50k + for it.. same condition.

Outstanding car no if and or buts. I like the color though it is not original. Prices in general though are a little lofty for a lot of new MOPAR buyers. When the general public or people passing through car shows ask me what our cars are worth the general response is "know way". I'd hang onto it for a while as the weather is still pretty chilly and most of the country is out of season for cruising. You will get the dollar, don't get discouraged. Spring is just around the corner - somewhere.

Great looking car!!!!!

I was thinking about it, but it came down to the paint, fender tag and engine for me.  To get the correct color and engine in it would put me over the amount I think it would be worth.  I'm only able to justify mid 30's for it... so I didn't even waste your time.  Very nice car!!!

Good luck and be careful on ebay... I've been seeing a TON of scamers lately.  Just use your head and you'll be fine.

This is so true. Even out here in Ca. car land it seems like no one knows the value of these ebodies
'cept their owners and dealers.
I keep hoping to find one for used car money...but there ain't none out here!

Good lookin' ride for sure, although not my first color choice. But anyway you know Ebay is a double edged sword. Even if  you get the bid you want, collecting is something else. And alot of dealers that want to make big markup's. The otherside is buyers get leary on high dollar rides far away - I went from SE Wi. all the way to Pulaski Tn. to look at a 50 footer... man was I pissed.  Looked great in the pics and was made all kind of promises.... :2cents: :puke:
