I am in Milwaukee, Wisconsin home of Miller Brewery. When the wind blows right you can smell the yeast all over town. [Rant] Oh yea and the million dollar statium that doesn't work, thanks to out sourcing the project to japan. [/Rant] Well guys both the 69 and 68 are a bit beat up. Both need work, unfortantly the history of the 69 is pretty much lost up until i bought the car. I know it changed about 4 or 5 hands before i got a hold of it. It came from Jersey, it was sitting in a car port with the passanger side exposed to the wind and weather, and it shows it. Original block and tranny. A 340 that has sence been bored .030 over and all eight cyclinders have been sleeved due to scratchs from frozen pistons, new connecting rods and pistons. I have had it for about 3 years now, work on it on and off as i got time and money. At the time that i bought it I was still in college and used my uncle's garage to work on it. She needs alot of body work done to her. The fenders need replacements, which i found this last year at Iola's Car Show, which is still a bit crazy of a story about those. The 68 has the colorful history. When she was bought back in 68, she was used as a drag car, ran hard and fast for a few years up until 1970 or 1971. Parked in the same place until a buddy of mine JPL bought the car from friend of his who had started to restore/rebuild her but got put on the back burner because he found a different car he wanted. JPL then bought the car and start to restore it, then he got a different project and sold it to my Friend Dana, who helped my out a lot when i was first looking at A-body cudas. Dana bought it because it was his dream car, a 68 383 Forumla S 4spd Fastback Barracuda. Dana decided to sell her because he didn't have the time or money to sink into her and he wanted something he could rat rod and had a friend with a 36 dodge bisness coupe that was for sale. He put the word out he was selling the cuda and didn't really say why, so i called him found out the skinny and i really couldn't pass up the price of this puppy. The 383 still turns over and fires up really nice, it has been modded over the years. The original cam is long gone. Still got to go pick her up this summer and needs a paint job badly. Here is a bunch of pictures of the '68 that my friend JPL has up on his website
