Custom Billboard Stripe Opinions for my 71 Cuda
« on: February 15, 2006 - 12:13:28 PM »
Hi gang,

Whereas my 71 'Cuda didn't originally come with billboard stripes I was playing around in Photoshop with the idea of adding my own stylized version of the billboard to help breakup the Winchester Gunmetal paint. It is a beautiful color but without a vinyl roof the color just dominates the car.  I am a signmaker so I can do this myself in the same matte black vinyl but I thought I would see what my friends at CC.com had to say.  Yeah or Nay?

Thanks, Ed

Nice work, but personally I don't like it. The stripe seems to take away from the styling lines of the Cuda.

I think your stipe looks really nice on the car but I am more of a stock look girl.  But hey, it's just vinyl and can be changed whenever.  Either way your car will stand out.  Let us know what you decide, but no matter what, do what you like best!

I don't like what happens on the door below the beltline.  Maybe just keeping the stripe above the beltline. :2cents:  Remember it's your car.  Do what you want.  Besides, if you're doing it with vinyl, if you don't like it you can take it off.

Thanks for all your opinions. Yes, it is vinyl and easily removed plus I like to be a little different. And when I get tired of it...bam...back to stock.  Ed

Total B S, I like the stripe it makes it look bad a$$, but agree that the line should be above the belt line.

It has a look like no other and IMO adds to the tough look.
