....the 1970 Challenger RT pictured here was bought new by a neighbor of mine in the winter of 1969, he lived just one block away....due to a small problem with the car(driving under the influence) he lost control of the car on a snowy city street spinning the car several times and barely clipping the corner of the local Coca Cola Plant....he drove the car home and more or less buried the car in a deep snow drift, swearing to never drive the car again, he didn't....
....a few days later he tells his co worker Ed about the Challenger and the accident, and he wanted to sell it really bad to buy a pick up truck for the winter....asking price was $1,000, but Ed bargained him down to $800. and picked the Challenger up a few more days later when it could be shoveled out of the snow drift...
....Ed bought the Challenger in 1974 and still owns the car to this day, it is an all original, matching numbers 383 AT with a little over 40K original miles....the repair from the accident was very very minor and was taken care of the spring of 1975...Ed has driven the car a little in the last 30 years and we took it to a local garage a few days ago for a tune up, probably the first one in a decade or so...
