Whats the differance between 70 and 71 sport mirrors?

I'm looking to buy a pair of chrome sport mirrors, and keep seeing 71-74 mirrors. Whats the differance between 70 and 71 mirrors?

The 70 base is short & stubby. it's not as long as the 71-71. Just the base is different. The mirror itself is exactly the same I believe..

  There is also quite a difference in price. The 70 style is tougher to get.

the drivers side mirror is the same , the passenger side is more tear drop shaped on the 70 mirrors  with the pinch being towards the outside

70 Cuda and Challenger mirror were a one year only thing.  The base is smaller and the mirror housing is smaller.  The housing was also on the Duster but you'd have to change the base.

70 mirrors are really expensive.  I need a right hand for my Challenger R/T but just haven't wanted to spend that king of money yet.

There are being repo'd though, I just can't find the web site.  Need some help here!!

Heck no,
  That's what I did. To be honest, I think the longer base looks better myself. I gave up trying to find an affordable 70 set.

Hey FY1443433 - I saw a place on ebay called Hoover Auto Parts, they were selling re-pops of the 1970 mirrors, passenger side I believe, maybe both sides, for $ 360.00 Buy It Now. I saw the mirror for sale in the collector car parts section under 1970 to 1971 Challengers. Hope this helps! FYI  Hoover Auto Parts has got a lot of Mopar stuff advertised, lot of smaller detail items. It's worth the time to check the site out. As I recall, there is a link from ebay to the Hoover Auto Parts site'

71 through 74 mirrors are all the same.

I just thought I would throw this out there for you guys looking for 71-74 E-Body Rally mirrors. They are the same as the 71-72 B-Body mirrors. Maybe that is another option on E-Bay???  Look at the Charger and Satellite/Road Runner mirrors from back then.
