That must mean that Nick is going to make Carlisle this year, great, we get to meet another young gun with Mopar running through his veins. Make your reservations Nick, and we will see you at Grandpa's Growler too, right?  :clapping:  :woo:

Hey Jim,
Do you think Grandpa's Growler can hold any more of us??? I mean... we pretty much took over it last year.
I just hope they don't have a limit.

A few things going in our favor:

We show up kinda late (8:00-8:30) the standard dinner crowd is mostly gone, those coming in are the regular bar crowd.

We order more than pop and chips and tip quite nicely.

Danny (the owner) likes us, last year I shook his hand as we were about to go and he said,"See you next year?"

There is a banquet room upstairs the same square footage as the whole downstairs, there's room.

It will just be the clubs decision, do we want to go somewhere else? I think the only way we couldn't go there is if we caused problems and were ask to leave. If we can keep the women under control we should be OK.  :roflsmiley:

I was going to call Danny in a couple weeks but if the majority would rather try someplace else let me know and I won't make any reservations. It's early, but perhaps Laura could start a thread and we can make the decision on the overall response. The absolute only negative in my mind is the limited parking arrangements, but then again at that time of night things are slowing up.

I think its a great place and should continue to go there.  From what I have experienced the last two years, we have had no problems having dinner there!  As you can see form the pics, we took over the rear parking lot and had no problems with the cars from other people anyways!  (I had to replace a fan belt the first year in the lot)  Plus the food is good and not expensive and they have a good selection of beer!   me last year  - - - >  :drunk:

Actually looking forward to it!

Just a reminder for those that do want to buy beer while at Carlisle. At night, it becomes impossible to buy beer at nearby stores. So stock up during the day or in advance.

It was definitely a good thing I brought a case of some good Pale Ale from my local brewery to get us through the first rainy night!  lol  YUM!!

Man . . . haven't had a beer since last year Thanksgiving  . . . making me thirsty!

Grandpa's Growler has become tradition!!  If they'll have us, I think we should definately go there.  So far, I don't think we've made a nuisance out of ourselves....except for one small incident at the hotel last year (that the hotel staff remembers in detail with names!! )  WSM, let's just make an executive decision and go to GG...but maybe we should ask about that room upstairs.

Let us know what they say.

OK,  I'll call next week, I'll confirm the date and time slot with an approxamate number, I'll use last years head count as a starting point and keep them informed. This is what I done last year, Danny said if we have a couple more than what we expect it's not a big problem, he did emphasize however if we had any cancellations to please advise him as near our date as possible. He definately dosen't like to set up say for 20/25 and only 10-15 show up, and I certainly can underatand that. I'll ask about the banquet room upstairs, how many are required to book that room and if it also requires any other added financial consideration. We again may drive over in April around our anniversary weekend, yeh, we're goffy, driving by the showgrounds on the turnpike and having a meal and a drink at Grandpa Growlers makes us old married couple happy and excites our Mopar fanatacy.  :bananasmi.

There is another water hole not too far from GG, it's called Snappers, and it ain't got nothing to do with turtles,  :roflsmiley: Not excatly a "family" atmosphere  :roflsmiley:

We had a great time!  I'm sooo looking forward to this summer.  All the pics I posted were taken by Redline (my husband).  He's great with a camera.  If anyone wants pics of their cars taken for the calendar while we're at Carlisle, I'm sure he'd be happy to.
