Need interior advice
« on: February 17, 2006 - 07:19:08 AM »
My original interior was either white or gold but was changed to black. Well, is there anyway to use my black door panels and dash and change the rest to gold and make it look good. I was thinking of using the gold seat covers, carpet, headliner and trim with the rest of the interior black. Think that would look funky? I don't really care if its original but would like to make it look like it could be original to the untrained eye of a ford and chevy guy. Thanks :woohoo:

Gold =  :puke: 1980's called, they want your ideas back.  :roflsmiley: lol j/k!!
It's really up to you, what you want gold can be changed into gold.

IMO it will look very tacky and for the better part won't suit an E-Body at all.
Cadillac or Pontiac...definitely, E-Body?? - nope.  :grinno:
Still, it's your choice........

You could keep the dash black, door panels black dye/paint the console gold and get gold seat covers in suede.
Might go together with white carpet to break it up a little....I really have no idea.

Hey NZ, whats new? Your 70 came out sweet!

I don't have any pictures, and the car is now a bare shell on caster wheels. I never really liked black interiors thats why I want to change. The gold I wanting to go to is that ivy gold, kinda goldish greenish brownish mixture. Thanks

What color are you painting the car?  Interior color directly coresponds to your exterior paint color.  Some colors might look feasable with a gold accented interior but others would look horific :puke:
