Hey Whitesatin I'll tell you where it is. Go south on I-75 from Michigan but if you get to Florida you went to far.
Where did you see that AAR 1Badfish?

Here is the fender tag with the last 3 numbers missing. I can't remember if he still has the build sheet. I would guess the mice ate it before the cats ate them which would mean it's in one of those piles on the floor.

As a side note I've been two years tracking a Winged Bird that is suppose to be in an old hog barn. Again it's one of those stories of a friend who saw it 10 years ago and now has CRS. I'm no closer today than I was at the start of my search.

That is a rare find and glad you got to take pictures of the AAR. I think I would continue your friendship and maybe someday he will fix the car or sell it to you.

Very cool with the front rubber bumper and bench seat / column shift.

On the broadcats sheet, these cars can have as many as five, you might want to let him know. If the mice have spared any, they should be removed and safely stored.

Here is a list of places to have him look;

Taped to the back side / top of the glove box insert.
Under the front bucket seats in the springs.
Inside the bucket or bench seat backs.
Under the rear seat bottom.
In the rear seat back.
Under the package tray(speaker shelf)
Under the carpet.

it is very common to find a sheet or two for other cars too, so if he finds any that do not have the same VIN please let me know?

Thanks!
Barry

Wow! That's a great find! Wish we could find more things like that up here. Who knows, maybe there is stuff around, but it's hard to believe it considering how few people there are.

Anyway, that car is awsome, great condition too from the sound of it. You should talk him into fixing it up so you can show it around a bit! Drag it out into the sun and clean her off.

Share it with the world! Who knows, someone might offer him a million bucks for it.  :grinyes:

Several years ago a buddy told me about an AAR he saw years earlier. He said it was sitting in the guys garage or barn and looked to be complete. Then he told me he didn't remember where it was but it was off this country road. I thought at first he wanted it for himself but he later said he had no interest in the car. My wife and I use to take rides in the country trying to find the car. This went on for months and months. If we saw a garage door open or barn door we would slow down to a crawl. We must have looked like combine stalkers.
Let me jump ahead so I don't bore you to death with every dead end we hit. One SUnday we are calling it quits in the FK5 AAR when this guy in a pickup is coming at us on this narrow country road. We both slowed to a crawl and he yelled out his window, "is that a real AAR". I said it yeas and he said do you want to see another. It was the AAR we heard about. He is really a decent guy. He bought the car from his brother in 1977 for $1700.00. I've offered him some serious cash but the car is a great memory for him. It's kinds of cool the car means more than money and the two of us have become good friends.  I'll attach some pictures.
You know its just a piece of metal with no feelings like real bothers, tell him I'll trade one of my brothers for it

What kind of options do they come with? Condition? Milage? I need a crew to clean out my basement for sheetrocking this week.  :roflsmiley:

Would this be around the Wapak/ Botkins area? Same story, found it, and not for sale. Guy has a 69 superbee parked right in  front of it undercover. Original owner of one of the two.
Cant kill the mean and ugly. Only the good die young...I plan to be here a while!!
