NZ, altho pure speculation on my part, I drew the conclusion based on the snippet of conversation

"This sucker must be supercharged"

"Yeah, she's hopped up to go over 160"

BTW...I meant to ask if the hood pins came factory on your VP lookalike?

Kowalski's friend never said "Supercharged".......
When asked to go head to head for a bet, he looks at the car and says: "Welllllllll, this must be a souped up something" meaning mods IMO, Kowalski, "Says..."Yeahhhh, it's hopped up to over 160".

I don't take that as being supercharged. Maybe 180mph would be supercharged territory.
Maybe just a few mods, taller gears, who knows.

All I know is the film is depicted as a 440 Magnum (You can clearly see the hood emblems).
No point during the movie does anyone factually say: "Yes, it's supercharged".

Hood pins are not VP standard, neither is having two mirrors.
Also, the original movie, in some parts the rallyes have no trim rings.

my bad...it's been a while since I sat thru it, and I have total recall of all things imagined!   ;)

I was actually asking if the hood pins on YOUR car was factory to your car, or if the prev. owner added them, and you kept them.
