ARSON!!!
« on: February 19, 2006 - 07:41:09 PM »
As some of you may know, we are building a new home in Sahuarita ,Arizona. I just got the word that there was a string of fires set to 5 homes under construction in our area!! My In-laws live there, and said our home was not one of the five. here is a link to the story.

Well lumpy you got lucky. I feel bad for other people though. I didn't get to read the article because it requires a log in? Care to copy and paste for us? Either way it still sucks that people have no respect for other people's property. Take care and be safe.

Punk kids! Most of us pulled pranks when we were young, but we still held some respect for people and their livelyhood.  Nowadays there is no respect at all!  :swear:

I'm glad your place wasn't one of them, but it sucks for the other five homeowners.  I'm guessing it's some extreme naturists doing this as I remember a similar scenerio a couple years ago in the West.  Some group would actually start peoples' SUVs on fire because they felt they were polluting the earth too much. :villagers:

This is a new development and most homeowners have been waiting 9 months -1 year for their homes to be completed. They have a full time security guard on duty, but the houses that were burned bordered the open desert, so anybody could have walked across the open land and started the fires. I hope that they patrol the area better, now that this has happened. Our house is close to others that have been completed and are owner occupied, so I hope ours is safe, for now.

I feel for the ones affected.  So far, so good for your house.  I hope they leave those houses alone now.  They have made their point.  Good luck Lumpy.       :cooldancing:      ....Oldschool
