Reproduction 71 Cuda Grilles - closeout sale $500
« on: February 20, 2006 - 10:10:25 PM »
I stumbled across this ad in the latest Mopar Collector's guide and thought I'd share it since the price is very good compared to what you would pay for an original.  Does anybody own one of these or know anything about them?  Funny they don't even have a web site listed.

I don't have my '71 yet but at that price maybe I'll get a grille :-).

Not being familiar on all the prices for 71 Cuda grills, I wonder how much it would cost you to get all the extras for the grill??? Maybe that's the hard part?  :dunno:

Judging by prices on ebay, it would run somewhere between $1000 and $1500 for the 10 chrome pieces and 4 inserts. You can buy the 4 headlamp rings from a couple of different places at $300 to $500 depending on whether you wanted the argent (barracuda) or chrome (cuda) versions. Total investment would be around $2000 to $2500 plus shipping costs. That's a lot cheaper than the $3500 that I've seen the grilles going for lately. Sure glad that I bought extras when they were still cheap.

fyi.. the chrome 71 grille headlamp rings are not exclusive to cudas. The argent rings were also optional on 'CUDA's.

I think i feel pressured to buy one of those grilles. I always can take the trim off the original & hang it in the garage.  :)

Thanks.. great post

Left them a msg.. I hope I can still get one at that price.. thinking $600 shipped to NJ. Anyways my black cuda has the original argent color. I think I'll paint the reproduction one body color.. gloss black. That way not to chg the original grille..   :clapping:  :cooldancing:

I didn't see any other specific posts about this company or anything around this price so that's why I posted it.  If you have other info or a link to the other topic, go ahead and post it.  I did see other posts with guys waiting forever and not from companies in the collector's guide either but found by word of mouth or eBay.

Maybe you guys (Harms) are already buying these for resale too - might be a good idea for you if they are any good???

I did find another ad in the same collector's guide for another place doing reproduction grilles (page #77, April 2006) saying they have 70-74 Cudas, GTX, 70 Coronet RT, Super Bee, 500 out of Columbia LA (318) 649-5238, no web site either and say they are developing new products too whereas the other company is getting away from these grilles for some reason.

Anyway, I don't have a '71 (yet) but thought this might be good for somebody who does.

After my last post, Harms sent me and email with the link to the other topic which is well worth a read.
