ignition and door lockset
« on: February 21, 2006 - 03:39:29 PM »
I need to replace my door, ignition and trunk lockset. Does anybody know anything about the ones that Year one sells?
I have found an NOS set is there much of a difference beside the 20 bucks?

Depends on how original looking you are after.  New ignition assembly's look nothing like the originals.

Define original.  Ignition was unique to '70.

original meaning I want the look and feel of the original. I do not want gaps or to be able to tell its a replacement piece.

If you want the original looking finish and size of the grips then you need to find an original part number set.

Original NOS on the left.
