Like I said, I'm not sure what it is all about,...............except that replacement blocks/motors while the car was still under factory warrenty were stamped with the same vin as the orginal block...........? All I know is the 360 I purchased to put in the Chally was a replacement motor in the car it came from, and the guy I bought it from had paperwork from the dealer where this was done. Now,..........after the warrenty has expired I suppose it would be classified just as you call it, another replacement engine. I guess if this is or was done under warrenty coverage, my thought was that when the dealer "stamped" the new block it would not necessarily be done as "neatly" as the factoy stamping? Hey it was just a thought, I'm old, not so bright, and got a piece of paper from 1978 that may not be legit, but I got my title to replace the salvage title.
