I have had some good motors over the years.
My first Mopar was a 72 Challenger that I bought back in 1986. It had a 318 2bl, with a 4 speed. It was a great first taste of mopar. i installed a 4bl and electronic ignition and she was a great car for a high school student at the time, with no money.
A few years went by and I put a 383 in her. This motor was un stopable. I put a bigger cam, bigger carb and nitros on her. She never let me down. I would win street race after street race with her. I eventually put a 440 in her, but it never ran as good as the 383.
I eventually had to sell the car because of money issues. But one day I told myself, i am going to own another Mopar, but it will have a HEMI in her. i dont care how long it takes.
About 15 years later, I finally do own another Mopar, and she does have a Hemi in her. Once you have one, I just cant see myself with something else... But if I were, for a big block, it would be a 383, for a small block, a stroked 340 or 360.
