Finally my car is gone
« on: February 28, 2006 - 08:05:16 PM »
Well it happened in the blink of an eye. The flat bed came and my car is on its way to the body/Resto shop. It has been along time in coming. I got my numbers matching 383 R/T on July 25th 05 and since then have been slowly stripping it down collecting parts and waiting to send it off. Between summer heat, winter cold and shoulder surgery it was a long process and even though I did not get it as stripped down as I would have liked, There was an  opening at the shop and it was do it now or wait another 6 months or longer for a space to open.
I am looking at 18-24 months before it will return home. In that time it will get a complete rotisserie restoration as well as a complete mechanical overhaul. This shop will allow me to have a great learning experience with the offer to come in and work on my car as much as I can in a climate controled enviroment and all tools you need.
I will post update as often as I can.
