Slap Stik or Not...

Guys - since this board now seems to be drawing more and more serious resto folks I wanted to ask about the auto shifter bezels for early 70 built Challengers, Cuda and Barracudas. My very preliminary look at three early built (spd Sept/Oct 69) E-bodies show that they do not have the word Slap Stik on the bezel lens. Please take a minute to check your car and post the finding. Thanks!

My car has a build date of Sept. 29, 1969, and Slap Stik is on the lens. Hope this helps!

My car was an early 1970 build, and it has the slap-stck on it. I have seen the non-slap-stick bezels for sale though. I just never gave it any thought as to when or where that one was used.

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply! So maybe it was the two vendor deal or QA problems with a supplier? Anyone have another October SPD car that could respond?
