Gauges are in!!!
« on: March 05, 2006 - 08:19:53 AM »
This weekend I got all my revamped guage and switch assemblies in. I did have some grounding issues with the tach and dash floods initially (a result of powder coated dash) but addressed them and proceeded on. I was considering changing the flood color to a blue or purple but the green has grown on me. I appreciate everyones help and advice on the add-on power windows, overhead console, rear defogger, power trunk release, and guage restoration. Ck out the pics:

I really love the look of the white gauges. If it was not for my cars being restored back to original I think I would change mine to white as it sure looks cool.

thanks - I was surprised to see how similar this looks to the new Charger gauges. The bold polished bezel and white face instruments really brighten up the dash

Looks nice... but can you clarify for me?

It appears that the gauges are lit by a light above the dash, not backlit. Are they?

My dash lights are from above and not in the guages themselves. Are all Ebods top lights? I think I have read somewhere that they are but?

yes - even my brothers Roadrunner and other Mopars I have seen just had dash "flood" lights with no actual back lighting. I think this was a cheaper solution to dash illumination and I cant remember any other manufacturer using that method
