Slimer
« on: March 05, 2006 - 04:01:54 PM »
My buddy Joe came by yesterday in his Challenger and i took some pics :picture: ...he's had the car since 91 after (no lie) finding it in a barn  :bananasmi  It's been redone to suit Joe's tastes which, after all, is what we're all about here   - except for maybe making a convertible out of a hardtop :nono: - and Joe likes tweaking the details a bit  :bigshades:
I've told Joe all about the forum and he'll be checking in when he sets his computer up at home. He also has the 73 Rallye Challenger his parents gave to him for High School graduation :worshippy , a Gold Nugget Express Truck, and a 99 Intrepid. Enjoy...

Man I love that car!!!  :droolingbounce:  I just can't get used to a rear spoiler and the bumble-bee stripe yet.  :banghead: I know... it's my problem, and I will be visiting a counselor shortly.  :grinyes:   :lol2:

Thanks for sharing the pics, Rusty!  He has quite a few autographs on that trunk lid, too.

Cool car, a few options that Chrysler didn't add on but still cool.

:D thanks folks, it began as a Y3 '71 318 2-bbl car and except for the 4-bbl breather and duals, is still mechanically original. The hood tach is a Muscle Hustle piece that i traded to Joe several years ago for i forget what but i really like his inside gauge setup. Since a non-rally dash had no oil pressure gauge, he had Redline Gauge Works ( http://www.redlinegaugeworks.com/ ) make one up based on a new Sun oil pressure gauge but using graphics similar to the rest of the gauges...cool :smokin:

Slimer looks great.  Still trying to figure out what kind of overhead console he put in there.  Looks pretty good.  We had the pleasure of meeting Joe (and of course Rusty) a year or so ago...really nice guy.   Tell Joe, Chris and I said hello and it's about time he showed up!

He has 'Bullitt' on the boot lid - is he secretly a 68 Mustang fan?
