Strange things in your car?
« on: March 05, 2006 - 05:24:43 PM »
Just a bit of fun this question really
whats the most bizzare thing anyones found left in a car they,ve bought?
The biggest surprise I got with mine was when I removed the floor mat out of the trunk and found that a previous owner had poured concrete down the rear guard inners! I can only assume it was to hillbilly attempt to add some weight to the rear end. It certainly was a major pain in the a** to get it out! :swear: :stomp:
So I'd be interested to hear of other weird sh*t people have discovered.
Cheers Paul

I found the deed to a cemetary plot from Michigan in my 1966 convertible Chevelle. I tried to contact the folks (original owners), but never could find them. I was the third owner, the second owner didn't know them. He'd bought the car from them 11 years earlier.

Oddest thing for me so far, just over 2200 pennies in the trunk of a 1969 parts car. Dates ranged from 1914 - 1969. The '69s still looked new.  :money:

where do I start?? Being a recycler I think I just about seen it all. And belive me there were a few things I moved with gloves or coathanger. The stuff some people carry in their cars may amaze you..but if your drivin and total it. You go it stays. As for a personal car, I had some kinda drugs drop out from under a dash once about 20 years ago. Cant say if they were any good or not... thought I'd put that in before somebody asks

22 dollars. 1 dollar = 100 pennies. About those pennies, did you check to see if any of them were rare???? Couldnt imagine why there would be 2200 pennies in a car....

Yep, concrete.
Filled right to the top on both sides. Can laugh about it now (comedy = tragedy + time!) Luckily the idiot responsible did a bad job of mixing the concrete and it wasn't too hard to break apart. :bricks1:

About the weirdest things I've found in both my '69 Charger I once had and my '73 Challenger was a dead mouse under the seat of the Charger.  It stunk up the interior hardcore, but I was able to fumigate it quite well.  As for my Challenger, I found a lot of high school parking permits and other things that were signed and dated '74. (the car's a '73)
