In my opinion, any stripes that you put on the hood will take away from the awesome look of an AAR hood. Just leave it body color. You might have a decal shop alter a decal to replace the AAR decal at the end of the strobe stripe. Have them replace the AAR letters with something like 426. The reason that the AAR cuda looks so good is because they kept it simple. If you're going to use the hood and the stripe, you have to do the side exhaust or it looks like you just wimped out and never finished the car. I've seen so many cars where they were trying to get that AAR look and then just screwed it all up by not going that final step. My son is building an AAR type 70 cuda with the painted to match hood and a ghost strobe stripe. He's building a 340 6 pak with a keisler 5 speed, alterkation front k frame, side exhaust, independant rear suspension, leather interior, flaming river tilt column with the new tuff wheel. Should be nice when it's finished.
He's trying to one-up his mother's 73 cuda.
