Work completed Jan. 17 - March 7th (Warning, lots of pics!!!)
« on: March 08, 2006 - 10:03:57 AM »
I know it has been FOREVER since I have posted an update (with pics) on my motor rebuild project.  Now that MEK has cable he should do just fine with this thread.  Sorry to all of the rest of the dial up guys out there.

While the motor was out at the machine shop I decided I might as well go ahead and shoot the engine compartment.  This is, by no means the best job in the world but it looks so much better than it did before.  When I bought the car the previous owner gave me what was left of the paint and it turns out it was still good and matched up perfectly.

The motor is now in the car, headers are back on and almost everything is ready to go.  As of today, I am waiting for my radiator (being re-cored) and my new set of valve covers which are supposed to be delivered today.  I am hoping to finally start her up this weekend.  Just looking at those carbs is killing me.  I am dying to hear what it sounds like.  It looks like I forgot to take a pic of the carbs w/out the air cleaner laid in place so I will have to do that when I get home from work tonight.  Enjoy!  :jumping:  :jumping:  :jumping:  :jumping:  :jumping:  :jumping:  :jumping:

Thanks 4C.  I am sure you will finish your project in no time.  That Big Block is going to be so sweet in your 73!  You better get it done in time for Carlisle!

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Looks like everything is falling right into place on this up grade. It will be alot of fun to drive with the six pack. The engine compartment looks like it turned out pretty good. Keep us posted with your progress and let us know when you get the Cuda fired up.
