Question about 70 challenger

Does any one know if there is any difference from 70-74 challenger button release for bucket seat are they all the same and are the barracuda the same.

Yes, there are differences. I can't speak of the Cudas, but the 70-71's were different than the 72-74 Challengers. In fact, it's possible that 70, and 71 buttons were one year only things. I know I haven't helped much, but hopefully someone will come along and clean up my mess.  :misbehaving:

Well I'm not going to be much help as I have no idea about the challenger . . . but the 1970 cuda was a one year only and I think the rest were the same but not sure if the 71 had a unique one or not . . .  :dunno:

You forgot the link. The more I think about it though, I think there is something unique about a 70, as compared to other years.

The 70 button in a one year only thing and is twice as long as the other years. If I remember correctly, the 71-74 are interchangeable. Most of the 71s I've seen are chrome, while the 72-74 are black plastic. Ohh in case you are wondering, you cant just take the whole assembly from 71 and bolt it into a 70 frame, reason being is that there is a cage for the button on 71-74 seats. If you want to change them over you will have to weld that cage onto the 70 frame.
