Wish me "Mopar luck"
« on: March 12, 2006 - 07:47:26 AM »
Yesterday I got a lead on a 71 Duster with a 340 and the guy thought it was supposed to have a 4 speed. Susposedly there is virtually no rust (hard to beleive ie: "ruster dusters"), trying to make the connections to go see the car sometime today. Get this, it's in a garage about 5 mile from the "Mopar Barn", LOL, and don't worry, if I get to see it my camera will be with me. Can you say FM3? Well, if I get it she will be  P I N K  ! ! Then I can park between April and Pixie at Carlisle some year soon. Then that truly would be a thorn between two roses, as far as drivers go..........  :roflsmiley:

I'm beginning to wonder about you WSM, now you're going to a pink duster and parking between the other two pinkies, Hmmm, white-satin then pink, you trying to tell us something?   :nono:
LOL, JK, you know better and I hope it is what you think it is. Just don't go pink all the way, K?  :22yikes:

Good Luck and let us know the minute you find out.

Well, good luck on your find WSM. Funny how like you mentioned to me before that the good finds are right under your nose. So now I'm curious if it's an original or a resto redo.

I wish you luck Jim. Beware those rear quarter panels are rust breeding grounds.  :eek4: Now what is this about pink????? Black with gold stripes and a Steeler's emblem on each rear quarter sounds good to me.  :grinyes: I have your attention now, don't I???  :naughty:

Good luck Jim.  If it turns out not to be what you are looking for, please let me know about the car.  I would love to get Joe a 340 duster!  He had a 73 Duster when I met him.

Well, no contact so far, my brother-in-law lives about two mile away from this guy and he didn't find anyone home yesterday. He knows where the car is at, but dosen't know the guys name or obviously his phone number. But when we make contact I'll take a look, if it's not the car I want maybe somebody else here may want to consider it. Pistol Gripper came out a couple weeks ago and looked at a real nice 70 Fury vert. for $3000.00, it's still there, I got pics if anybody wants to have a look see?

Got pics? :money:  YES!!!!! :picture:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I know you've been looking for a 71 for quite a while now, so I hope this one really pans out for you.  Pixie will think this is so cool that we could possibly have 2 pink dusters from our board.  :grinyes:

WSM,

I'll post a few pics for ya.  As for the Vert, it was well worth the money, just needed more work than I was able to give it.

Hope the Duster turns out good !
