What are the options that 72-74 cars have that the 70-71 cars didn't? Other than the obvious high horsepower engines, I know that in 70 and 71 you could get convertible tops, power windows, optional steering wheels, leather interior, overhead console, rear window louvers, rear spoilers, front spoilers, dana 60 rear ends, delay headlamps, 3 speaker dashes, radio faders, high impact colors and several others that I can't think of right now. These all ended at the end of 71 and I don't remember what new options came in after that.
You could get all the options,BUT there are many many many more on the older than the newer,I think CHrysler had more basic packages like disc brakes on the latter. When you bought your last new car did you have to tell them you wanted disc brakes or electronic ignition???

If you could somehow put the 72-74 Challenger rear end on a 72-74 Cuda front clip, you would have an awesome car!!!   :burnout:

Ooops had that backwards,I meant more on the newer than older, lol. And besides while everyone has a right to their opinon, what looks good to you may not look good to me but as i stated I like them all, even the 72-74 grills,I dont like one bit the round tail lights on a 72-74 cuda, but again thats my opinon, does that mean i wouldnt buy one,NO if i found a good deal.I wasnt trying to start a war,Heck there maybe someone out there that likes Gremlins, which is his right,I dont throw stones at anyone for their likes or dislikes,I could care less

Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions.  I really love this car.  I also have a pristine 1973 convertible corvette.  recently I took both cars down to a car show.  although I recieved kindwords for the vette, the major attention was given to the Challenger Rallye which is not in nearly as nice of a condition.  I will, post pictures soon

I agree with most of the above. I have 2 73 Challengers one being a #'s Rallye car. I have owned 15 Challengers over the years all being 72's or 73's. I prefer the looks of the 72-74 although the 70-71 has grown on me over the years. The bottom line is build it whatever way that will make you happy.
