Is there a paint code for Cuda tailpanels?
« on: March 14, 2006 - 09:53:09 PM »
I'd love to get my tail re-shot.  (I know that sounds bad...)

Is there a 'paint code' for the special velvety black finish on the rear panel of Cudas?  Or do I have to order it from Totally Auto?  Is it "Organisol"?

Anywhere else to get it?

I've seen Cudas shot with standard flat black, and some with organisol (light textured) black. I've owned two Cudas that were original paint cars, and both rear tail panels did not have a texture to them. My 70 is painted with the organisol, and i like it that way.

Charlie,

I used the organisol from Totally Auto. It worked very well and it looks great. You can't beat the ease of a spray can.

Organosol, it was applied before the body color was.
