Wow, I have been trying to post this for a while but I have been having some posting problems where I get an error after I push the post button, then I lose the post
Anyway, we got my 340 six pack started for the first time this weekend. That's the good news. The bad news is, the guy who re-cored my radiator was supposed to check/change the transmission oil cooler (when I bought the car the previous owner had the tranny lines to the radiator cut and plugged, so I assumed it leaked). While we were filling her with fluids on Saturday coolant started pouring out of the tranny (not a fun sight). I was steamed to say the least. Thank God we saw this and didn't start the motor!
We drained everything and started over and plugged off the tranny lines going to the radiator (I have an external aftermarket cooler on there as well, so we used that). We changed the tranny filter again too. She started right up and sounded wonderful!!!!!! We still have some tuning to do and we need to figure out why when we put it in gear the idle drops drastically. The bad part is that we obviously had to take the radiator out and bring it back to the shop. I guess it will be worth the wait in the long run. I just wish I could be breaking her in right now. Saturday was like a big tease.
I got the start-up on video. I have to figure out how to get it on the computer and then find out where I can host it. Then I'll post it! Here are some pics of the final product!
