1970 Cuda complete drivetrain,Numbers Matching.
« on: March 16, 2006 - 11:10:04 AM »
We are building a 1970 Cuda and no longer need the drivetrain. The car is a 340 4bbl Auto Slap Stick with A/C. Manual drum brakes and power steering. We are selling the complete engine/trans,and when I say complete I mean COMPLETE. Every thing is still bolted to the  engine including the air cleaner, exhaust manifolds, distributor, plug wires, alternator, power steering pump,A/C compressor/fan. The belts weren't even removed. This is literally a drop in and go engine and trans. The engine ran great. I drove the car to several car shows totaling about 1800 miles and used it to run around town to pick up parts everyday last summer. The car got 18 mpg with the a/c blowing cold. I am also selling the rear end complete with brakes and rear suspension alont with the front crossmember with all of the suspension, brakes and steering box still atatched. I am also selling the original Ralley wheels and tires. The tires are not good for much other than roller use though. I have no idea what this stuff is worth but is is useless to us right now and I need to get rid of it. This would be great for someone with a tired drivetrain. I would like to sell every thing together but if no one is intersted in purchasing the whole package I will part it out. Please e-mail me for pics. I will be selling other parts soon so if you need any thing  for a 70 cuda let me know. The car was all original and 100% rust free.

I am in Martin,TN. I have no idea what these parts are worth. We build street rods and don't usually deal with muscle car parts. I am just looking for a fair offer.

Why would you take a numbers matching car apart?  Sorry to ask.

heck I have 2 70 Challengers I would give up for that car if it is a #'s car.  And in decent shape.  My callys are not bad for rust.

The customer wanted to start with the best car he could. It was a pretty nice car, we tried to sell it on e-bay before he bought it and it got up to 26K. It just saves a lot of time when you can start with a car as nice as this one was.

I know, I hated to see the car get parted out too. I have pics now but I can't post them. If someone will post them for me I will send them to you. Thanks

When you're posting a reply, click on "Additional options" go to the attach box and click "Browse"  Then go into your computer and find the photo you want to attach.  Click on it and then hit "open" and the file should appear next to the browse tab.  Check the requirements under the attach area to make sure your file is the correct format.  If you want to add more than one pic, click on where it says "more attachments" and additional boxes open up!

If you are still having problems, send them to me and I'll post'em for ya!!  My e-mail is in my profile!!

Since I have had so much interest in the engine/trans and the offers have been widely varying and since I have no idea what to ask I am going to put the engine/trans on E-bay this afternoon. The other parts will be available to the winning bidder first and if they do not want to purchase them I will list them on E-bay also. I don't like haggling back and forth between 4 or 5 people. This is the fairest way I know to do it. The item number is 4623224435. Thanks
