My Daily Driver - Jeep Cherokee
« on: March 16, 2006 - 11:44:23 PM »
Well, some of you may remember I had a thread a while back asking about how the Cherokees were.......
I purchased one about 6 weeks ago and have had some slight work done to the vehicle to make it "mine".

Its a:

1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport
4.0L High Output Engine (190hp)
Automatic/4:10 gears
XJ Model
Black with cloth interior

Anyhow I thought I'd post some photos now shes up to my standard and I'm happy with her.
It's a fantastic truck!!! A little thirsty but eh, who gives a shlt. lol
I got 5% tints from the front windows back and 35% on the two front.
15x8" Black Cragar mags with 31x10.5" tyres on. I had it lifted 2", not much but I'm happy.

I was going for the Army RV type vehicle, high enough, chunky tyres, black and stealth....I think I did well.  :clapping:
It all makes for a great driver and it looks pretty sweet in the garage next to Lucy (White/Black)

I may look at a bull-bar for the front, matt black of course...but for now I'm happy.

Cheers,
Carl

I am not sure....I really haven't looked into it too much....up North somewhere is all I know.

Sounds like a good spectacle though.....
Might have to invent some GIANT marshmallows and get me a front row seat.   :roflsmiley:

lol Yip, I posted that bad boy..... :naughty: :jumping:
Sfarai racks look to buys....what I would like is a light bar with 4 or 5 spot lights on top.  :woo:

Oh...and more aerials for the authentic army look. One BIG CB one at the rear near the tailgate.

Other Items:

Hi-Lift jack mounted on a bumper someplace, front or rear, or on your tire carrier.

You might look at getting a different front bumper rather than a kangaroo bar, as the bars end up killing your "approach angle" due the bracketry sticking out under the bumper and most arent much more than a glorified lightbar and protection from shopping carts.

ARB might have something in a replacement bumper.

You might look at getting some weld-on sliders too.

Thanks, the replacement jack is fine. RB are good but expensive, I've heard/seen Smart Bars which only weigh 35kg and are strong. They are a full faced bull bar. Not sure what weld-on sliders are...??

I really don't won't to put $$$ into this Jeep as it's daily driver and a car I don't mind getting dirty etc...
I got it for a good price and have put enough into.....though I'll keep an eye out for bargains on items I want.

Thanks Cannibal, but I'm not really after an "Army" look though.
Army in a way....not in your face army, more special forces type (stealth). (If that makes sense)  :lol2:

Thanks anyway mate.
