4 speed hemi before 1970 b tailshaft

I am new to the forum
 Can a person take a pre 1970 4 speed hemi manual tranny and change the tailshaft and bearing to a tail shaft housing with two mounting locations. I am trying to make the 4 speed work in a 1970 cuda. I have changed the rear bearing to a #308 . The new tail shaft housing does not seem to go on the tranny? Maybe I just have to line upthings better?
Help??

 The tailshafts should swap no problem , I have not had any problems swapping tailhousings in the past
